systems
LIGHTING SYSTEMS developed since the early 1980's have added a new dimension
to lighting for interiors. Traditionally the ability to simply move the
light source for display purposes has been the major attraction of track
systems.
Other significant benefits include reduced wiring and installation costs,
reduced damage to the fabric of a building and the growing range of light
sources available for systems has made them one of the most sought after
lighting methods for refurbishment in all types of building historic,
office, public and residential.
One of the driving forces in system development was the low voltage Tungsten
Halogen lamp. This light source opened up the possibility to develop very
small profile track and cable structures, which are attractive, elegant
and filigree and become an important element of the design of an interior.
The low voltage supply means that the track does not need to be insulated
(if supplied by an approved SELV transformer), and can be safely touched
by hand, much like the toy electric train sets that we enjoyed as children
(and as adults!). Track and cable systems for both low voltage and mains
voltage supply are suitable over a huge range of applications from hotels,
restaurants and leisure facilities to office reception and meeting areas;
from residential lounges and kitchens to Places of Worship and art galleries;
from jewellery stores to car showrooms. |
